Promoting my beautiful country... Chile!

Have you ever thought about why many people from different countries visit Chile? I found reasons that I’ll explain now.
Chile is a country located in South America, next to Pacific Ocean. It’s long and narrow and has territories linked to it: Easter Island, with its tipical moais and Antartic, cold and far, with penguins and a few persons that stay there representing us.
Well, talking about its beauty, I can say that it lies in, for example, the weather and landscapes. Can you believe that our territory is divided in regions with heat, desert, cactus and beaches; and in another side we found with millenary woods, lakes, glaciers, volcanos, mountains and coldness? Two different sides!
And what about Santiago? With its mediterrean weather and many places to visit like Cerro San Cristobal to walk and discover the capital, Valle Nevado to ski, Mercado Central to eat delicious meals with fishes like salmon, for example.
In another point, it’s essential to mention Chilean gastronomy. Since tipical Italian hot dogs, empanadas, corn pie to humitas and mote con huesillo you can enjoy!
And obviously, its people. Setting aside all of our defects, we are nice people, and I’m sure that we want you to feel comfortable here.

I don’t want to tell you more. You only have to come and discover the magic that Chile contains!

A country I'd like to visit

One of my dreams always has been to travel over the world. Today I'll choose a place that I really wanted to visit, and it's called Austria, specifically its capital Vienna.
All of this started when I saw for the first time my favorite movie called Before Sunrise. Its two protagonists go there and in the moment they arrived, I could see the magic through images that this city has in all senses: its beautiful architecture, proximity to Danubio River, museums, old streets and artistic presentations outdoor.
Sincerely, the things I know about this city are only because this movie, but I was searching a little of there and I think if I go one day I’d love to visit museums that have Klimt’s paintings because he is my favorite artist and the thing I want to do so much is to take a walk over the city. This is the best way to know a city, in my point of view.

If I can go there to live, study or work, I think I would prefer to live, but only for a short time because I think I’d miss so much my family and friends.

Getting around

Today I'm going to telling you the ways I use to get to my university daily and how I really feel or deal with that.
Well, my university (Dentistry faculty, Universidad de Chile) is located in Independencia, Santiago de Chile.
I live in Conchalí, which is near to this area . In this way, I don't have many problems with the transport because the main avenue that connects these areas, which is Independencia Avenue and I can access very easily to it.
In mornings, my dad drives my family to their respective places (my brother to his school and my mom to her work) and drives me here too, which is a good opportunity for me.
And when I finished here (sometimes late, sometimes early) the way I get home is taking just one bus (201 or 308).
Most of time, this trip takes me 20 to 30 minutes, in any of these directions.
I think I wouldn't like to commute using different means of transport. The only thing I can say about that is I would like to have subway to my home, or near from it (it's being builing now, I heard that it will be ready for 2018, so, I just have to wait!)
